VINTAGE HANDWOVEN CUSHION 20x20

A collection of one-of-a-kind cushion covers made out of handwoven vintage cereal sacks. Women spun, dyed, and woven the stunning and extremely resistant linen and wool fabrics during the winter. Afterward, the materials were sewn into bags with impressively beautiful hand stitches. Some of the older bags are over a hundred years old, and all were produced before the 1970s. Used at first as utilitarian harvest and storage sacks, they are now considered rare collectibles. Each cushion cover is unique and has its character. Traces of usage are part of the natural characteristic of the vintage fabric and its history. Please handle this with care.
